Worcester Donkey Rescue was established in 2021, The founder Karen, and her daughter Sammie began rescuing donkeys and working hard on their rehabilitation in the hope it would bring much needed respite in an environment that would bring wellbeing and happiness to abandoned and abused donkeys in need of a safe place to be cared for.

With an equestrian background spanning 25 years, large animal care has always been a passion, and donkeys in particular, Karen has made it her mission to give back and open a donkey rescue centre. This love for donkeys has been passed through the family and her daughter Sammie has also joined the Worcester Donkey Rescue journey and they hope to keep growing and growing.

Worcester Donkey Rescue is a family run, non-profit-organisation. Our mission is rescuing and caring for donkeys that are in desperate need by offering them a safe home, providing care, rehabilitation and a new start in life.
